Aggregate Election Results
This year we are pleased to once again bring you aggregate results for
State-level offices for the counties using the Election Magic
software. What this means is if a State-level office (Federal
Congressional, State Senate, State House, Court of Appeals, Circuit
Court, District Court, or Probate Court) district is contained
entirely by counties using Election Magic, then that office will be
reported on our aggregate election
results pages.
These pages have the same "look and feel" that all of our individual county pages do. There is one summary web page for each type of office listed above that 1) is being contested for the current election year and 2) that is completely "covered" by counties using Election Magic. For each office, the vote totals and the total number of all precincts (for all counties contributing to the voting for that office) is given, as well as the list of applicable counties. For each office, there is an associated "detail" page that contains a by-county breakdown of the voting for that office. On this page you will be able to see the number of precincts reporting for the office on a per-county basis, as well as the vote totals for each candidate. There are also links to each county's detailed results so that you can "drill" down further to a precinct-by-precinct report of that office in any county that applies.
It should be noted that AVCBs are not counted in the number
of precincts reporting, but are reflected in the vote
totals. The implication of this is that it's possible that the
summary page could report 118 out of 118 precincts reporting (for
example), yet there may still be outstanding AVCB votes to be
counted. You will be able to determine whether this is the case by
following the links to all of the counties for that office and
observing whether all of the AVCBs have reported (this information is
given on the summary page for the office).
